
INGREDIENTS:
Plain flour...........2 cups/220 grams
Butter/Margarine............1/2 cup /115 grams
Caster sugar..........3/4 th cup or 125 grams
Eggs....................3
Baking soda..........1 tsp
Baking powder..............1tsp
Soured cream...................1/4 th cup/3tbsp
For the topping:
Dark brown sugar................1 cup/225 grams
Cold butter(unsalted)..........1/4th cup/55 grams
Ground cinnamon................2 tsp
Any nuts.....................chooped...1 cup/115 grams..
Plain flour........................2 tbsp.
Mix all these ingredients in a bowl and keep aside.

METHOD:
- Grease a 9 inch/23cm baking pan.
- Preheat oven to 350F/180C/GAS 4 .
- Cream the butter/margarine until soft.
- Add the sugar and continue bating until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one by one beating well after each addition.
- In another bowl sift the flour ,baking soda and baking powder for 3 times.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the butter mixture in 3 batches alternating with the soured cream .
- Mix well after each addition.
- Pour one half of the mixture into the greased baking pan and place the topping and again pour the remaining mixture on it and place the remaining topping over that.
- Bake in the oven for 30-40 min..until a fork/toothpic inserted in between comes out clean.
- If u are using self raising flour instead of plain flour in the recipe then DON'T add baking powder because the self raising flour itself contains baking powder.If u again add the baking powder the batter raises too much while baking.It comes out too much..
- Here in this recipe i have used curd instead of sour cream.
- For the topping i have used pistacheo and cashew nuts.
