
INGREDIENTS:
Paneer......100gm,cut into small cubes and fried in oil.
Green peas(mattar).....1 cup,boiled
salt....as required
Red chilly powder....as required
For the Gravy:
Onion......1 big one,cut into medium sized pieces
Cloves........2
Cinnamon........small stick
Elaichi.......1
Cumin seeds....1 tsp
Ginger....small root
Garlic......3 cloves
Coriander seeds.......1 tsp
Cashew........1/8 th cup
Tomato......2
METHOD:
This is my entry for RCI-Punjabi Cuisine started by LakshmiK and hosted by Richa.Serve hot with chapathi ,roti,nann.....
- Fry all the ingredients for gravy except tomato in 2 tbsp of oil.
- When the onion fried a little bit add chopped tomato.Cover and cook for sometime or until the tomato is tender.
- Remove from heat and grind it to a smooth paste adding 1 tbsp of dry coconut.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the ground paste for 5 min or until the oil comes out of the gravy and u can have a nice, spicy smell.
- Now add the boiled green peas .Add salt and red chilly powder.Cover and cook.
- After sometime add the fried paneer cubes.
- Add some water .Cover and cook until the water evoparates and a nice gravy remains.
