When i was in LONDON one of our friend Mahua has introduced us this dish.Oneday she called us for a tea party and made this one.The kachori is so good that i can't resist to eat them more than i can....:-))I liked them very much..from then if i have coconut in the house this dish must be prepared..:-)i thank mahua for introducing me to such a wonderfull dish....
INGREDIENTS:
COCONUT .........1 cup,grated
CINNAMON.......1 large stick
ELACHI.............2
SUGAR.............1 tsp
GREEN CHILLIES......2-3
ONION..........small one
SALT..........to taste
MAIDA.........1cup
WATER .....to knead the dough
OIL.........for frying
METHOD:
- First mix the maida salt and water and prepare it like a chapathi dough and keep aside for 1 hour.
- Grind the cinnamon and elachi.
- Mix it with grated coconut.Mix with the sugar,chopped onion,green chillies and salt.
- Make the dough into small balls.Roll them like poories and in one half of the poori fill 1 tbsp of the coconut mixture .Cover with the other half and press the edges with a fork.
- Fry them in hot oil.
- serve hot with tomato sauce....
