Tindora Ulli(onion) karam

This is one of my nubbys favorite dish.

INGREDIENTS:
Tindora.......1/2 lb
salt .......as required
Red chilly powder.....according to ur taste

For the paste:
Onion.......2
Red chilly.......4-5
Ginger..........small block
Cumin seeds.....1 tbsp
turmeric....a pinch

Ground to a smooth paste.

METHOD:
  • Make splits to the tindora and boil them.
  • Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan .Add the ground paste and fry until the oil comes out.
  • Add salt .Add red chilly powder according to ur taste.Check before u adding red chilly powder because the paste itself contains red chilly and mix well.
  • Then add the tindora and 1/4 th cup of water.
  • Cover and cook until the tindora gets the flavour of the onion paste..
Serve with rice..
