Tres Leches 3 Milk Cake


I made this cake for my friend chikky's anniversary.Everyone enjoyed this .It is so tasty and worth trying .

INGREDIENTS::

FOR THE CAKE::
All purpose flour......1 1/2 cups
Eggs........5
Baking powder.....1 tsp
Unsalted butter....1/2 c
White sugar....1 c
Vanilla extract...1 tsp

For the milk mixture.::

Sweetened condensed milk...1 can(14 oz)
Evaporated milk....... 12 oz can
Heavy cream... 1/2 c

For the Icing::
Heavy cream....1 c
White granulated sugar...1/2 c
Vanilla essence...1/2 tsp

For the colored icing::

Unsalted butter...1/2 c
icing sugar....1 lb
Food colors...pink,green and yellow.

METHOD::
  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Grease and flour 9/13 inch pan.
  • Sift flour and baking powder and set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla .Beat well.
  • Add the flour mixture 3 tbsp at a time.Mix until blended.
  • Pour batter into the greased pan and bake it for 20-30 min or until a toothpic inserted comes out clean.
  • Take out from the oven and cool the cake.Pierce the cake several times with a tooth pic everywhere.
  • Combine all the ingredients for milk mixture.Pour the milk mixture all over the top of the cooled cake slowly and smoothen it with a spatula.
  • After pouring all the mixture keep the cake refrigerated by covering it up to 8 hours so that the cake absorbs the milk mixture.
  • Now whip the heavy cream adding sugar and vanilla.
  • Frost the cake with the whipped cream.
For the decoration beat the unsalted butter and icing sugar with 1 tbsp of warm milk.Divide it into 3 parts and mix with food colors.You can use the decorating tips for the decoration.

NOTE: If u don't want any decorations you can just serve it with the whipped cream frosting.Or you can put some roasted coconut flakes on the top,or you can serve it with  fresh straw berries on top.

Keep it refrigerated until you serve it.Trust me..you will enjoy every piece of it.
