Rice Flour fritters(varipindi pakodi)


I learned this from one of my friend's Mil.

INGREDIENTS::

Rice flour....2c
Green chillies...10
Ginger........1 medium sized piece
Onion...3 small ones
Salt... 1tsp
Curry leaves...4(optional)
Water...1/2 c
Oil to fry


METHOD:

  • Cut onion into small pieces.
  • Grind green chilly and ginger coarsely in a food processor.
  • Mix onion and ginger -chilly mixture with rice flour.Add salt.
  • Using less water in between make the rice flour mixture into a dough.Make sure that u add very less water.Just add enough water to make it into a firm dough.
  • Heat oil.Put small amounts of the rice flour mix into the hot oil slowly.
  • Fry until they turn into light brown color as shown in the pic.
You can store them in a airtight container.They will be very tasty.
